In a relaxed and friendly setting enjoy a day of fun, practical and informative learning making your own A5 leather bound journal. In a small group of up to 4 students you'll learn the basics of leatherwork, all about the materials and tools, cutting and preparing natural vegetable tanned leather, and traditional hand stitching techniques, as well as fixing hardware. You'll have the opportunity to personalise your journal with hand stamped detail, and you'll go home with a beautiful unique handmade item.
Tea and homemade cake is provided to keep your energy and creative levels up, and all materials are included in the price. An 80 sheet plain cartridge paper casebound hardback journal, all hardware, and a choice of natural vegetable tanned leather in a range of colours. Each leather hide is individually selected for its beautiful natural qualities, complete with hallmarks, scars and markings from the tanning process - a testament to the natural origin of the hide.
