How do I look after my leather bag?

Each Coterie leather bag is handmade and available in a range of leathers. Your bag will come with a care leaflet with advice on how best to care for your particular fabric or leather. Generally the leather doesn't require any particular care, but you can protect it with a spray if you wish, or a leather feed from time to time.

How do I pay for my item?

Our online shop is run on the Shopify platform to ensure you are protected against fraud or theft. You can pay by PayPal, debit or credit card (Mastercard or Visa) American Express and Apple Pay.  All online orders are encrypted using the universally recognised USC SSL security system and no payment details are retained.  

How long will my purchase take to arrive?

Your bag will be dispatched within 1-2 days of order and will go via Royal Mail recorded delivery. In line with my sustainable policy I use my local Post Office service which is mobile and in my village 2 days a week. I try to use this service rather than driving the 10 miles to my town branch so generally post on a Tuesday and Friday. You will receive an email informing you it has been dispatched and it should be with you the next day. You will need to sign for your delivery so please make sure someone will be around. If you have commissioned a bag to be specially made the lead time is usually 2-6 weeks, however you will be kept informed of timescales during the design process.

What do I do if I wish to cancel my order, or return my item?

You can cancel an order by emailing tracy@coterieleatherbags.co.uk. Please note that orders cannot be cancelled once goods have been dispatched, after which you must follow our returns policy. When contacting to arrange a return please include your order number in the email together and reason for return. Once the return has been authorised you have 14 days to return the item for exchange or refund. Purchases made in the form of a gift can be exchanged if the recipient isn't entirely happy with your choice.  No returns or refunds are possible for commissioned items unless they are faulty.

What do I do if I find my item is faulty?

Workmanship and materials are unconditionally guaranteed, other than normal wear and tear. Should a problem or defect arise I will replace, repair or refund, whichever is appropriate. I'm also happy to repair any damage howsoever caused (I've repaired bags caught in a gate on a late night walk home from the pub, and one a puppy chewed!), so if it is possible I'm happy to try.

Are your bags lined?

No, good quality leather is beautiful inside and out and the ethos of Coterie Leather Bags is to highlight the character of the leather, not hide it. The welsh wool tapestry does have a backing as by its very nature has a fairly loose weave, so this prevents any items in your bag causing damage to it.

Do you ship world wide?

Yes, just send your address and I can send a shipping quote. As with all my deliveries, it will be sent recorded, tracked and signed for.

Can I commission a bag?

Yes, all my bags are individually made and I love nothing more than creating something special to your own specifications. Most of the bags you see on the website can be made in a variety of sizes in different colours.

Can I use a voucher towards payment for a bag?

Yes of course, you can use a voucher in full or part payment towards a bag purchased through the website. Please just drop me a line at tracy@coterieleatherbags.co.uk and I can amend the payment details accordingly. Vouchers are available on request.
